Fiction Mentorships

I offer fiction mentorships that are designed to nurture and transform the writer as a whole.

Are you ready to fully dive in and devote yourself to your creative process?

My mentorship process will help you identify what makes you tick as a creative, confront your inner saboteur, and align with your higher guidance.

Through a combination of targeted 1:1 instruction, critique with an eye for developmental editing, and personal transformational coaching, I’ll help you elevate your craft and navigate the blocks keeping you from reaching your potential. My mission as a coach is for you to take our time together and carry it with you long after we’re done working together. I want to help you improve your writing skills and re-design your life in a way that honors your creative flow.

I work with writers of all levels:

  • beginners

  • writers emerging from drafting into the revision or submissions process (drafting and revising require a different skillset and mindset)

  • writers who already hold degrees in creative writing ( I know your challenges intimately!)

  • published authors seeking to take their writing practice to their unique “next level”

Whether you are on the indie publishing path or the traditional publishing path, I respect your choice. If you’re torn about going one way or another, I can help you get clear on what you really want and make that choice from a place of personal power. No single path is for every writer at every moment.

genres I’m interested in

My MFA concentration is in Popular Fiction. I am comfortable with a variety of high-concept and genre fiction. Commercial fiction that has a literary flavor is my personal favorite. I’m particularly interested in Young Adult, Romance and strong romantic subplots, Women’s Fiction, Contemporary, Dark Fantasy, Paranormal, and some Horror and Psychological Thrillers. Mash-ups of the above are always welcome.

types of mentorships I offer

to apply for a mentorship, please fill out the application linked below.

Please know that space is extremely limited so I’m being very selective at this time, but I will respond to all complete applications with an email as soon as possible. If I feel we could be a good match, I will send you a link to book a free zoom session so we can meet face to face and get a feel for each other. If I feel like I can help you write the kind of book you want to write or make the kind of change in your life you want to make, I’ll offer you a mentorship spot. Sometimes, if there are significant barriers to your creative process, I might suggest personal coaching before we begin a mentorship. Once you accept, we can begin the onboarding process.

Please don’t be intimidated by the application process. Mentorship coaching is a long-term commitment, and if we’re going to be working together for an extended period of time, I want to make certain you will get the most out of it. Your personal information and IP matter to me, and any information you provide via this email is only for me to decide if we’re compatible as coach and client. Your details will not be stored in any database or shared with outside parties without permission.
